Photo of the Day #3 Views from Mt. Samat

I took these photos “Views from Mt. Samat” last August 31, 2009 when the whole family decided to visit Mt. Samat or should I say, out of nowhere, I thought of going there as I’ve not visited it since I set foot in Bataan. I can still remember that the weather is a little gloomy when we left the house. When we were near the foot of the mountain, rain fell so hard that made me a little nervous if we should still pursue with the plan. To think that it would mark my initial attempt in driving uphill. To make the story short, we made it safely and experience being inside the Cross of Mt. Samat.
PS. There’s an entrance fee of P10 per person and another P20 per person if you want to ride the elevator inside the cross.

Trivia : Mt. Samat is located in Pilar, Bataan. The cross is called “Dambana ng Kagitingan” or “Shrine of Valor”.
